Two weeks ago on a Friday afternoon, our hot water tank decided to let go just before we went away for the weekend. My husband had already left on the trip, and I had a flooded laundry, furnace and storage area to contend with, as well as no hot water. Unfortunately, any of the places that I called offering 24/7 emergency service did not feel that this was an emergency. Even with the phone calls on Friday, I was simply just another call coming in. Some companies were telling me they could not come with a replacement tank for at least 2 weeks, another company priced themselves 50% higher for the same product than the others. She picked up right away on the fact that we had young children - and accommodated us in the schedule. Ottawa Home Services has amazing customer service that actually made us feel like someone really wanted to help us with our problem - we weren't just a job. To this day, our current furnace maintenance company, who we contacted twice to see about replacing our hot water tank, has not even returned our phone calls.
